Ian Ashbee says the Tigers will be happy to concentrate on their own performance when they visit Ipswich next Saturday.

Victory at Portman Road could take City into the Premier League, although their fate depends on results elsewhere.

It was Ashbee's late goal against Crystal Palace which took the promotion issue to the final day of the season and the City captain feels his side can only take care of their own result.

"We've got to look after ourselves," said Ashbee.

"Stoke are playing Leicester, who need a result to stay up. That won't be an easy game but we just have to try and concentrate on ourselves.

"I'm confident about every game we play and if we can go to somewhere like West Brom and come away with a win, then we can go anywhere and win in this league."

Ashbee headed home Dean Marney's corner in the 85th minute to give the Tigers a 2-1 win against Crystal Palace and the midfielder was delighted to see the ball hit the net.

"To be honest 'Barmbs' had already gone for the header in front of me, but I managed to give him a shout just in time.

"He managed to duck and I just tried to direct it towards goal. Luckily enough it went in."
