Jay-Jay Okocha says he would happily swap a potential Play-Off Final appearance at Wembley for automatic promotion to be secured on Sunday.

Although Okocha may not be fit enough to face Ipswich at Portman Road this weekend, he is backing the Tigers to do what is necessary to stay in the hunt for automatic promotion.

"I am working hard to be fit for the Play-Offs if that situation arises," said Okocha.

"But if we could finish the season off on Sunday, I would be more than happy to take that over a possible appearance at Wembley.

"Hopefully we will be able to get the result that we want and hope that Leicester can do us a favour at Stoke.

"I think the fact that Ipswich like to play football will help us. I played against them at the KC earlier this season and they are a good footballing team.

"We have done well away from home this season and I think that gives us a great deal of confidence as well.

"I'm sure it will be a very good game to watch."

Okocha admits that winning promotion with the Tigers would rank highly in his list of career achievements, whether it's done automatically or through the Play-Offs.

"It probably would rank as one of my greatest achievements. That's because Hull City have never been in the Premier League and people on the outside don't believe the position we're in now.

"When I signed for Hull, people were questioning me. So promotion would be a great achievement for me and hopefully it will happen."
