Garcia Happy To Be Back
Richard Garcia admits the Play-Offs have given him a new lease of life and is relishing this evening's Semi-Final second leg against Watford.
Garcia thought his season might have been over after sustaining a shoulder injury against QPR last month, but having made his return in the first leg at Vicarage Road on Sunday, the Australian is enjoying being back in the action.
"Sunday was tiring, but very good for me," said Garcia.
"There were times while I was out when I thought I might not get back into the team because they were playing so well.
"I've fought hard to get back and I've pushed things as fast as I could. I'm not sure I would call it perfect timing, but I've had a bit of luck on my side."
Garcia played a key role in Sunday's 2-0 first leg victory at Vicarage Road but he is keen to stress the Tigers will not be taking their foot off the gas tonight.
"Sunday was a great result for us, but the tie is not over yet by a long way. Watford will feel as though they have a point to prove and I'm sure they'll come out of the traps quickly.
"But we have to deal with that, play like we did the other day and try to create some chances ourselves.
"We need to play our normal game and approach it in that way. If Watford throw the kitchen sink at us, we have to deal with that."
With City having never played at Wembley or in the top flight of English football before, Garcia understands the current squad is on the verge of making history but says for him, that would merely be a bonus.
"There is a sense of knowing we could make history, but more than that the players here are very ambitious.
"We want to do this for ourselves, the supporters and the club. If we make history, then that will be an added bonus."
