Only days after lining-up against the Tigers for Wigan Athletic in our Carling Cup win at the JJB Stadium in August 2007, Caleb became City's first-ever £1million signing.
The tall striker was soon making a much bigger impact than in his brief loan spell with the Tigers in November 2001 during Brian Little's reign at BoothferryPark.
Whereas his initial stint extended only as far as a 22-minute substitute appearance against Oxford United, Caleb's return has been packed with drama and excitement.
His 'second' debut ended with him spending the night in hospital as he suffered a neck injury during the televised game at Blackpool.
Although the former Leeds United, Rushden & Diamonds and Chesterfield forward was hampered by niggling injuries during the 2007-08 campaign, Caleb duly played a vital role in our historic rise to the Premier League with its dramatic conclusion in the Championship Play-Off Final at Wembley.
The most crucial of his nine goals virtually sealed the Tigers' first-ever Wembley appearance in the second leg of the Play-Off Semi-Final against Watford at the KC Stadium.
Caleb was often used to great effect when coming off the bench when he most notably created a potent strike partnership with Frazier Campbell.
Following his earlier top flight experience with Wigan Athletic, Caleb will be hoping that his return to the Premier League will boost his chances of international honours.
He qualifies for the Republic of Ireland via his grandparents and received a call-up for the senior squad in March 2007 but had to withdraw due to injury.
